Trail riding is finally here in beautiful Quinte West, Ontario. We are 2 minutes north of the 401, off the Wooler Rd exit and minutes from town. We are located at Miron Valley Stable at 2 Joseph Rd, Trenton, Ontario.
Why us? We have over 40 years horse industry experience, 5-star reviews and excellent friendly guides certified in First Aid & CPR. We have beautiful groomed private relaxing trails that make you feel like your miles from town. Come and enjoy yourself riding through forest, meadows & around farmland clearing your mind from everything! We provide beautiful healthy, safe, and friendly horses, fit the rider with proper riding helmets, and proper size western saddles for you and the horse.
You start each session with hands-on learning to how to properly groom your horse before riding. While mounted, we will teach you to steer & stop, and make sure you are comfortable before heading out. Nervousness is normal for anyone that has not rode before. The rides will run for a full hour unless due to unforeseeable circumstances, example: weather change, trail conditions, riders abilities, riders decision…etc. The guides have the authority to make changes for the safety of riders and horses.
You must come prepared for the trip with proper clothes and footwear for the weather that day. Pants and 1/2″ healed footwear are a must. Bug spray, and sunscreen are optional but highly encouraged to bring, as it will not be provided. Treats for the horses can be brought from home for after the ride are always welcomed, cut up apples and carrots only.
*If your pregnant please do not book, this would be a safety concern. Trail riding is for fit health 12-year-olds and up in age.
*Maximum weight 280 lbs per rider.
*No dogs allowed, please leave them at home. We have free range friendly lovable golden retrievers, and you do not need your vehicle scratched up.
Arrive 10-15 minutes early. Liability & Waiver forms need to be read and signed before handling the horses.
Cost is $100 per rider. 10% Discount for Military & Veterans. Payment is due when filling out the riding waiver.
